Kalowen Camper collects certain personal information when you visit the website, contact our team or submit a request concerning a product, truck, financing, service, warranty or potential business partnership.

This policy explains what information we collect, why it is collected, who may access or process it and the choices available to you.

Information we collect

We collect information that you choose to provide and limited technical information generated through use of the website.

Product and truck-compatibility inquiries

A qualified product inquiry may include your full name, email address, telephone number, postal code, truck make, truck model, truck year, box length, suspension information, Black Panther interest, message, language and source page. If you separately choose the optional marketing consent, we also retain the consent status, version and date when accepted.

Service and warranty requests

A service or warranty request may include the owner’s contact information; country, province or state; camper year and serial number; selling dealer; camper edition; purchase or delivery dates when provided; request category; current location; safety information; problem description; error messages; troubleshooting; and related technical details. Photos, videos or documents may be sent separately by email after submission. The request also includes its KSR reference and operational consent.

Dealer applications

A dealer application may include the applicant’s name and position; company and professional contact details; location and requested territory; business type and years in business; brands or products sold; display and service capabilities; technician count; motivation; estimated volume; preferred timeline; comments; KDA reference; and operational consent.

Technical information

Our hosting, security and form-transmission infrastructure may process technical information such as an IP address, browser type, device type, requested pages, date and time, referring page, language preference, security logs, technical errors and parameters required to operate the website. We do not claim to collect precise device location through the website.

Why we use information

Depending on the request, information may be used to:

• respond to a question or inquiry;
• perform a preliminary truck-compatibility review;
• prepare price, availability, proposal or order follow-up;
• assign an inquiry to the responsible regional dealer;
• discuss general financing options without making an automated credit decision;
• assess a service or warranty request;
• coordinate an authorized repair, diagnosis or replacement part;
• review a dealer application;
• send promotional communications only when optional consent has been given;
• operate and secure the website, prevent abuse and investigate fraudulent submissions;
• meet legal, accounting and administrative obligations; and
• improve appropriate business processes and the website experience.

Compatibility, warranty and dealer-application decisions are not made automatically by an algorithm.

Operational and marketing consent

Submitting a form allows Kalowen, the responsible regional dealer or an authorized repair facility to contact the person for the purpose of responding to that specific request.

This operational communication is separate from the optional consent to receive Kalowen news, offers or promotional communications. Marketing consent is optional, is unchecked by default and is not required to submit a qualified product inquiry. It may be withdrawn by contacting Kalowen. When consent is given, Kalowen retains appropriate evidence of that choice.

Service requests and dealer applications do not create marketing consent.

Sharing and service providers

Information is communicated only when reasonably needed for the request or for legitimate operational requirements. Recipients may include:

• authorized Kalowen employees and representatives;
• the dealer responsible for a territory or the selling dealer;
• an authorized repair facility or technician;
• a parts supplier or component manufacturer when technical support is required;
• a financial institution selected for a financing process, using only the information needed for that process;
• website hosting, security, form-transmission and email providers;
• legal, accounting, insurance or other professional advisers; and
• public authorities when required by law.

Some providers may process information outside Quebec or Canada according to their infrastructure and applicable safeguards. Kalowen does not sell personal information and does not identify an unconfirmed dealer, lender or inactive customer-management platform as an active recipient.

Form and email transmission

Website forms currently use a form and email transmission provider to deliver requests to Kalowen. Public client-side configuration must never contain a private key or secret.

Do not submit banking details, a social insurance number, passwords or other sensitive financial credentials through a Kalowen website form or ordinary email. The website does not request this information.

Retention

Kalowen retains information only for the period reasonably necessary to respond to the request, complete commercial or technical follow-up, maintain warranty and service records, comply with legal obligations and resolve disputes.

The period may vary according to the nature of the file. When the information is no longer required, it is deleted, destroyed or anonymized according to the applicable processes.

Security

Kalowen uses reasonable administrative and technical measures appropriate to the nature of the information. These measures may include need-based access, account and secret controls, selected service providers, appropriate logs or backups, incident procedures and secure disposal processes.

No website, email or online transmission can be guaranteed as absolutely secure.

Your rights and requests

Depending on the circumstances and applicable law, you may ask to access or correct personal information, withdraw consent, request that certain use or disclosure cease, request deletion or de-indexing where available, ask a question or make a complaint about Kalowen’s practices.

Send a request directly to the Privacy Officer using the contact details at the end of this policy. A request may require reasonable identity verification and does not guarantee an automatic outcome.

Privacy incidents

Kalowen assesses privacy incidents brought to its attention and takes reasonable measures based on the nature of the incident, the information involved and applicable obligations.

Cookies and third-party technologies

The website does not currently load non-essential analytics or advertising tools. It may use strictly necessary storage or similar technologies for interface operation, security and language or functional preferences. A decorative cookie banner is therefore not displayed.

Google Maps is not loaded automatically on the contact page. The address and a regular external link are available without loading the map. If you choose Display Google Map, Google receives technical information such as your IP address, browser information and the page making the request according to Google’s own practices.

External links

Dealer websites, Google Maps, social networks, financial institutions and other external providers have their own terms and privacy practices. An external link does not necessarily constitute approval of all third-party content.

Children

The website and its forms are intended for adults. Kalowen does not knowingly request personal information from children through these business forms.

Policy updates

Kalowen may update this policy as its practices, services or obligations evolve. The new version and its updated date will be published on this page. An additional notice may be provided when a change is material and such a notice is appropriate.
